StarAline’s “Oops I Accidentally Got Top 10 In King’s Peak Again” Guide:

Day 1 (Clash) General notes:

  • Stamina doesn’t have an overall cap, meaning however many explorations you can do/afford, you’re allowed. On this note, if you’re trying to place high, I recommend being on within the first couple minutes that the event starts in order to maximize the amount of free stamina you can use. Even if you get smacked early, you still get points for this. If you are planning on just getting those minimum points in the morning and then pushing harder later in the day, use some of your weaker units first in this stage.
  • Dragonblood restores 5 stamina per, not 1. Each of the available purchases gives 6, which is equivalent to an extra full stamina 30/30 launch.
  • Keep track of how many people are in the zone you are in, as well as how many of those are guild members. If there aren’t many people in the area in that time slot, it can definitely be a good time to get chests organically without a huge worry of them being stolen. Alternatively, if you have the strength to try and steal, you can go for times with more people. I recommend the former.
  • On that note, the 30 second smaller chests are actually the most efficient. If you get one of these, I advise not doing any more exploration until you can open it. Additionally, I try to hold a maximum of 2 chests at a time (unless I have stolen them from another player). The more chests you hold, the better target you become for stealing - additionally, if you’ve picked these chests up organically, losing them is a massive stamina waste, especially if they are stolen by someone far stronger. Stamina efficiency is key to placing high on day 1.
  • The chest UI isn’t very clear - as soon as the word “Open” appears on it in the upper left, you can open the chests.
  • If you notice someone very strong is currently active in your zone, you can hold off for 10 minutes or so until they have spent their stamina. Otherwise you’re just donating chests to them as they WILL come through and steal them. Don’t hold more than 1-2 chests if possible during these times.
  • Trade NPCs are always worth it. Make sure you have enough coins before exploring.
  • There is a tracker of how many chests are available in a zone during a given time block. If this is low or zero, do not do anything in that zone unless you are trying to burn weak huntresses. Pivot to another zone temporarily if the guild-focused one is on zero chests.
  • A full stamina refresh takes 3.5 hours. I recommend logging in every 3 hours in order to maximize the amount of free stamina that you get. This is only relevant on Day 1.
  • There is a donation screen where you donate the materials you gain from chests into fortress XP for your guild, giving more HP depending on the lowest star among the three types. So to get 1 star, your guild will need all 3 zones to have 1 star worth of donations.
  • Coins can also be donated, but you have to be in the Top 16 of donations for them to do anything. It’s easily possible to have the guild be in the Top 16 of points but not coin donations. If you see this happen, I recommend pointing and laughing.

Day 2 (Finals) Notes:

  • Once a guild’s fortress is killed off, they can’t gain any more points, so if your guild is on the weaker side, it is advisable to attack early.
  • On this note, rockets do MASSIVE damage, and can be a way to coordinate knocking out a mid-level target quickly. One rocket will often do more damage than an entire roster.
  • Rockets can be used to either hit multiple guilds at once, or single guilds to target them.
